Camilo Cardenas
PhD Student. Camilo is studying the ecology of plant species occurring in the Colombian Paramo at the Parque Nacional Natural Chingaza. The Paramo is currently affected by fire and grazing and the project focuses on the effects of perturbation on vegetation and the restoration of plant ecosystems. This project is advised in Colombia by Prof. Orlando Vargas from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Bogota.

PhD student. Violeta's research project focuses on the study of the population genetics of the long-lived plant Narcissus papyraceus across the species distribution. This project is co-adviced with Dr. Juan Arroyo from the University of Sevilla.

Phd student. Alicia's research project deals with the ecology and evolution of the different life cycles (mainly determined by different germination times and seed dormancy patterns) that occur in natural populations of Arabidopsis thaliana in Spain.
